OUR STORY

STAN WIEBE  first visited Haiti in 1982 when he signed up with other Canadians on a mission trip. This is where Stan sensed the Lord's call to serve with the Haitian people, primarily in the role of accounting.  Moving to Haiti in January 1984, Stan ended up serving in Haiti for five years with two different missions, living in Port-au-Prince, Montrious and Gonaives. In 1989, Stan moved to Raleigh, NC and began serving with an urban outreach, Building Together Ministries (BTM). Stan, however, returned to Haiti most years to visit his Haitian friends. They would share about their passion for reaching their own people with the Gospel of Christ and meeting some of their physical needs. As a result, the Lord gave BTM an opportunity to partner with these Haitian leaders.   As the Building Together Ministries’ supported programs in Haiti continued to grow, the time came for a "spin off" and a new entity, Hearts and Hands for Haiti (HHH) officially began on January 1st 2006.
